One of the greatest gifts of my work is getting to meet extraordinary people. Photographing 10-year-old Elle Milota for Boston Children’s Hospital was one of those assignments I’ll never forget. Elle is a dancer with an incredible spirit, and spending the day with her and her mom, Danielle, was such a joy. Their love for one another was evident in every moment we shared.

The goal was to create portraits that celebrated Elle as she is—happy, healthy, and full of life. It’s always an honor to tell stories that reflect resilience, hope, and the people behind them.
